Saturday afternoon we put up our first hummingbird feeder of the 2014 season. We usually put the feeder up around the 15th of April so this year we’re a couple of days early. It usually takes a few weeks for us to see our first hummingbirds. We always put it up now because the migration map has the first males coming near our area around this time. Hopefully we’ll get some good pictures this year because we got a new camera lens that will let us take shots from a distance. Here are a couple of pictures we have taken trying out our new lens.
